• Negotiating prices, freight rates, quantities and schedules with suppliers, and preparing
costings of shipments.
• Identifying and proposing new products and alternative suppliers.
• Preparing Purchase Orders for suppliers.
• Submitting relevant licenses to the appropriate authorities as required.
• Tracking orders and filing appropriate documents on receipt of shipments.
• Monitoring movement of stock and maintaining accurate records of levels in internal
systems
A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a business-related discipline.
At least three (3) years’ experience in Purchasing.
Cost-price analysis skills.
A high degree of commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all
levels.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Passion for internal/external customer service.
High proficiency in the use of information technology
