We are seeking to recruit a commercially-focused, meticulous individual to join our team as a Purchaser.
· Negotiating prices, freight rates, quantities and schedules with suppliers, and preparing costings of shipments.
· Identifying and proposing new products and alternative suppliers.
· Preparing Purchase Orders for suppliers.
· Submitting relevant licenses to the appropriate authorities as required.
· Tracking orders and filing appropriate documents on receipt of shipments.
· Monitoring movement of stock and maintaining accurate records of levels in internal systems.
A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a business-related discipline.
At least three (3) years’ experience in Purchasing.
Cost-price analysis skills.
A high degree of commercial awareness and strong negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently with individuals at all levels.
Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Passion for internal/external customer service.
High proficiency in the use of information technology.
